Inspired by surreal events, Ian Leahy's Waiting for Orson is a jazz-infused journey into the inner workings of a mind either devolving into insanity or reaching for enlightenment. As a young man waits for a world-changing musical gift delivered by an extraterrestrial who supposedly asked to meet him in New York's Penn Station, a love that he believes began lifetimes ago crumbles along with all the closest relationships in his life.

Instinct Theatre Company
Instinct Theatre hails from the shores of Lake Superior in beautiful Marquette, Michigan, with individuals from a thriving theater community in and around Northern Michigan University. Inspired by how Waiting for Orson first emerged in a flash of inspiration amid a downpour in Midtown Manhattan, our goal is to create theater that harnesses that instinctual spark from which so much great art is born.
